Pharmacists are required to maintain patient records. The patient record enables pharmacists to better support you in getting the most from your medicines.
They may ask for personal identifying information such as your personal health number, date of birth, and address to confirm your identity so that your personal information is recorded only on your record.
They will also record all medicines received by you, including those that are kept in the dispensary but which do not require a prescription.
